February 7, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #34 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #12-0117 FOR HOUSEHOLD AND SMALL COMMERCIAL APPLIANCES Description Bids to provide 'Household and Small Commercial Appliances' were received from three vendors on December 6, 2011.  The bid of Commercial Laundries of West Florida, Inc., was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budgets of the Facilities Services Department and the schools. Recommendation That the bid of Commercial Laundries of West Florida, Inc., to provide 'Household and Small Commercial Appliances' in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
